Tracy Dopko is a Lifetime Certified Equine Appraiser with the American Society of Agricultural Appraisers and the American Society of Equine Appraisers and has been doing equine appraisals for approximately 15 years, along with being hired as an equine expert witness and consultant for court cases. The owner/operator of Daventry Equestrian, Tracy has shown successfully on the American and Canadian Hunter/Jumper A Circuits as well as the Dressage A Circuit over the last 21 years. Her most notable mount, Quest, went on to become two-time CSHA Canadian National Hunter Champion with her. Tracy has also successfully shown in Western Pleasure, Pleasure Driving, Sport Horse, Welsh Pony and Arabian circuits and qualified for the Ariat US National Adult Medal Finals in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Tracy has won over $45,000 in hunter earnings, produced countless Futurity and Hunter Classic winners and over 100 A Circuit Championships in both hunter and dressage, including several Canadian National and US National Hunter Champions, as well as multiple National Championships in Western Pleasure and Trail.
After University, in which Tracy majored in Animal Physiology and Behaviour and minored in Sports Psychology and Physical Education, Daventry Farms opened in 1991, now known as Daventry Equestrian. Tracy taught the advanced lesson program, which incorporated dressage, hunter/jumper and equitation training, until deciding to focus solely on training and resales in 2003. Tracy previously bred Canadian Sport Horses, Hanoverians and Oldenburgs for over 15 years, including hosting yearly Warmblood breeding inspection sites at her farm for the ISR/Oldenburg Registry, and is now an avid breeder of Welsh Ponies, Cobs and Hunter Ponies.
Besides showing and training, Tracy can be found judging throughout the year on the hunter/jumper, Welsh Pony and open show circuits. Tracy is one of only two people holding all four of the highest available Welsh Judges cards in North America and is the only Canadian judge that holds a USEF "R" Western judges card and Connemara judges card. She was asked to be the clinician for the 2010 Welsh Pony & Cob Society of America Judges Clinic in Lexington, Kentucky. Tracy owns and operates a successful Website Design company called Daventry Web Productions and is the Owner/Editor of Alberta Horse.
Tracy has traveled all over Canada and the United States doing equine appraisals. She has been hired as an appraiser and consultant on multiple court cases, worked closely with several of the major insurance companies in Canada on death-claim reimbursements, completed appraisals for multi-million dollar estate and insurance settlements, tax audits, and has even done a large appraisal involving over 150 horses for a non-profit organization in the United States. Her appraisals are known for their thoroughness and attention to detail. Combined with her background and credentials in the horse industry, Tracy's appraisals and expertise provides a valuable asset in the courtroom!
